Directions:

1. Gather the following materials:

A Piece of Cardboard or Posterboard
Large Paper Fastener
Scissors
Glue
Mirror
Tape
2 Washers
Spinning Disc Pattern
Dancing Line Sheet
Flower in a Hat Sheet
Stick Figure Doing Sit-ups Sheet

2. Glue the Spinning Disc Pattern onto a piece of cardboard. Cut out the circle and cut out the gray areas to make slits.

3. Glue (or tape) a washer in the center of the Disc, one washer on each side.

4. From the cardboard, cut two strips, each about 2 inches wide and 12 inches long.

5. Place one strip on top of the other, and tape them together at one end. Wrap the tape about 4 inches up the strips.

6. Put the Disc between the open ends of the cardboard strips.

7. Secure the Disc in place, about 1 inch down from the edge of the strips, using the paper fastener (poke it through all three layers of cardboard, making sure it goes through the center of the disc).

8. Choose one of the sample sheets (The Dancing Line, The Flower in the Hat, or The Stick Figure Doing Sit-ups). Cut out each image and glue it, in a clockwise direction, between the slits on the spinning disc. Try to position the dot (it is in the upper right hand corner of each image) in the same spot.

9. Hold the Spinning Disc up to the mirror with the pictures facing the mirror. Look through the top slit and spin the disc. (If it does not spin freely, loosen the paper fastener).
